PASADENA, CA (March 25, 2025) — The twelfth edition of the Pasadena International Film Festival (PIFF) returns to the NoHo Arts District April 3-10, 2025, presenting more than 130 films from over 12 countries during its eight-day run at Laemmle NoHo 7 theater.
Panels, a Passholders’ Lounge, and a Great Gatsby-themed closing night award ceremony are also scheduled. Festival entries include features, shorts, documentaries, and animated films. Sponsored by the First Entertainment Credit Union, the screenings are presented in programming blocks featuring moderated Q&As with filmmakers at the conclusion of each screening block.
PIFF’s opening night activities include a screening of the documentary The Best Pizza is in LA, featuring 90210’s Tori Spelling and Brian Austin Green.
Festivities will continue with a ’90s-themed party at Brews Brothers NoHo Pub after the screenings. Spelling and Green are expected to attend.
On Friday afternoon, Jake O’Flaherty of Dangerfield Talent will present a complimentary workshop at the Laemmle NoHo 7: State of the Industry Today From a Talent Agent’s Perspective.
The festival will also screen the anticipated documentary Norita, directed by Jayson McNamara and Andrea Tortonese, and executive produced by Jane Fonda. This moving film features activist Nora “Norita” Cortiñas, who in the 1970s mobilized Argentinean mothers whose children had been kidnapped by the country’s military regime.
PIFF will also be screening the Eva Longoria-produced, Ali Eats America, a feature-length documentary that shines a spotlight on the beauty of human kindness and brings a unique perspective to the conversation on cancer.
The festival culminates with the Great Gatsby Gala and Award Ceremony, emcee’d by storied actor Rico E. Anderson. PIFF will honor Pasadena’s brave firefighters for their valiant efforts during the Eaton fire at the Award Ceremony. The Gala and Award Ceremony will take place at Der Wolf in Old Pasadena, which hosts two bars and an outdoor garden.
